DSSR

The GLASS surface shortwave radiation product has a temporal resolution of 3 hours and is available from 2008 to 2010. The GLASS surface shortwave radiation product is archived in HDF-EOS format.

The GLASS surface shortwave radiation product was derived from Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), the Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) SEVIRI, the Multi-functional Transport Satellite (MTSAT)-1R, and the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) Imager (East and West) L1B data (Zhang et al. 2012, Liang et al. 2006). The spatial distribution of this data set includes covers the global land surface, , available for the years 2008 - 2010. It is provided in an Integerized Sinusoidal (ISIN) projection at the resolution of 5 km (representing 8640 x 4320 pixels or 36 x 18 tiles on the Earth) on the globe.
